Xiaomi just announced the Mi 9 Pro. The phone comes with a new chipset, much faster charging and it is now powered by the latest Snapdragon 855+ chipset with up to 12GB of RAM. Read on to see the full specification, price and release date of the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro Features
With the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro, you will get the same OLED panel with a built-in fingerprint scanner, the same tripe camera setup with 48MP main module, but also plenty of upgrades from its normal version.
Lei Jun, the Xiaomi CEO, was talking all the time about the Mi 9 Pro 5G, but the new phone will be available in 4G flavor as well.
With the Mi 9 Pro, Xiaomi introduced both a bigger battery (4000mAh) and an improved fast charging, compared with the Mi 9 – it supports up to 45W wired (with the appropriate charging included in the box), while wireless is now 30W. The latter was achieved thanks to a special Xiaomi wireless pad with a new architecture of the wiring and additional cooling.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro also bring reverse charging with up to 10W speeds – a first for the Chinese company.
Another upgrade is the new speaker, which has the largest sound chamber of any Mi phone to date and should be louder and better sounding than any of its predecessors.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro price will start from CNY3,699 ($520/€473) and go as high as CNY4,299 ($605/€550) and will be available in 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB variants. It will be offered in Dream White and Titanium Black color options.
The first 100 people to pre-order the phone today will receive their phones in three days, the rest can start their purchases on Friday, with actual shipments and sales scheduled to begin in seven days.
The 5G option will be available starting from October 31, so we have to wait a bit more for the official price of that variant. You can also apply for 100 GB free mobile data, but obviously this is a China-only deal.
