Giving the likes of Apple stiff competition, Huami, the Xiaomi-owned wearable company has launched a new smartwatch known as Amazfit Bip, under its Amazfit brand. The watch looks a little bit similar to the popular Apple watches but has a more friendly price tag. The highlight of the newly launched Xiaomi Amazfit Bip is the battery life that the brand claimed could last for more than a month with minimal notifications.

Xiaomi Amazfit Bip Features
The Xiaomi Amazfit Bip smartwatch weighs just 31g and has a 1.28inch display, which boasts of a resolution of 176 x 76 pixels. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Amazfit Bip also feature an optical heart rate sensor, true GPS for location tracking, a 5-axis accelerometer and notification support from both Android and iOS devices. The watch also has an IP68 water-resistant rating.

Just like I stated from the beginning, the one feature of the Xiaomi Amazfit Bip that makes it stand out is its 190mAh battery. With this battery capacity, the Amazfit Bip will not require frequent charging, unlike other smartwatches you will find in the market today. The manufacturer claimed that with a full charge of 2.4 hours, the watch can last for about 30 days plus under regular usage, and 45 days with “minimum notifications”. If you try to use the Xiaomi Amazfit Bip only in the watch mode, you might end up using it for months with just a single charge.
But the cons of the Xiaomi Amazfit Bip is that while other smartwatches have access to app stores, it lacks such features. This means that users will be limited to the apps that came pre-installed on the Amazfit Bip. The watch uses Xiaomi’s MI Fit 3.0 app to pair with other Android devices and iPhones.
Xiaomi Amazfit Bip Price and Colour Options
The Xiaomi Amazfit Bip price goes for just $100, and sales have started already in the United States from the company’s website. The watch is available in four different colour options; White Cloud, Onyx Black, Kokoda Green, and Cinnabar Red. However, at the moment I am writing this post, only the Onyx Black variant is available. Other colours will be available for purchase as from March 2018.
