Sony ensured that the panel it picked for the Xperia XZ3 looks gorgeous, as it features an 18:9 “Extended Display” aspect ratio, with QHD resolution and Sony’s standard and long-standing plethora of display optimization tech, like TRILUMINOS and X-REALITY.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 burrows most of the internals of the Xperia XZ2, including the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD. The main camera is also the same as that of the XZ2, as it consist of a 19MP, f/2.0, 2.5mm, 1/2.3 inch, 1.22µm Motion Eye camera, complete with PDAF, laser AF, as well as a stacked memory solution, powering 960fps, 1080p slow-motion capture and real-time 4K HDR recording. Some improvements was added to the experience of the Sony Xperia XZ3, through the latest iteration of the BIONZ processing algorithm.

On the front of the Sony Xperia XZ3, you will find an upgraded selfie camera, made up of a 13MP, f/1.9, autofocus.. The phone will be powered by a 3300mAh battery, complete with USB delivery support and the traditional Qnovo tech. The latter features a list of frequently used apps and settings shortcuts, complete with user customizability.


On the software angle, the Sony Xperia XZ3 runs on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, with a familiar Xperia Launcher on top. There are few additions to the OS though, like the Side Sense menu and a new automatic, AI-powered camera launch gesture.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 is expected to be released into the market by the end of September 2018, though no specific date has been mentioned yet.
