Samsung has unveiled a tablet that is perfect for workers in the field, this was as a result of the various feedback the company got from its customers. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes with a rugged case that allows the tablet to survive drops from up to 1.5 meters (5 ft). Samsung also claimed that even without the case, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 should be able to survive a fall on a flat surface from 1.2m (4 ft).

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 Features
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has IP68 dust and water resistance rating, which means it can work well in both rain and sunshine. The 8-inch LCD is designed to be operated with gloved hands. If using gloves seems too thick, then the IP68-rated S Pen can be used to navigate the UI.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is powered by the Exynos 9810 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. The storage can be expanded further with microSD cards. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 runs on Android 10 with DeX mode for a desktop-like experience along with the security protections of Knox.
Biometric authentication on the Tab Active 3 can be carried out via fingerprint reader or face recognition. The tablet has a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and a 13MP rear camera for general photography.
The tablet has a 5050mAh battery that can be swapped out by the user on the go. Also, it can be charged in docks, thanks to the pogo pins (or through regular USB when available).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a “No Battery” mode, which can be toggled from the settings. This allows the tab to be used as a stationary kiosk without degrading the battery. Third-party add-ons can be used to scan barcodes or add mPOS functionality.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 and the Galaxy Xcover Pro phone will receive three major OS updates, which is an important consideration for a business that uses equipment longer than consumers.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is now available starting today in selected countries in Europe and Asia. Its availability in other regions will be announced later. The tablet is available in two versions – a Wi-Fi-only version and an LTE model.
