Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be arriving stores after many months of delays. The Korean tech giant has supposedly fixed the issues that surfaced during the initial batch of reviews, hopefully the foldable phone is now sturdier.
A recent report coming from South Korean carrier KT says pre-orders of the Galaxy Fold in the country will start shipping from September 11, 2019. The company is expected to re-announce the Fold at IFA on September 6, and that is also when pre-orders may start.
Samsung is apparently still pushing hard for a release in its home country this Friday, but that may be unlocked phones- of which it’s apparently readying around 20,000 to 30,000 units as part of the initial batch made available for sale. Another source says the entire first batch at only 2,500 units, with 300-400 of those going to each Korean carrier.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold will be available in Silver, Blue, and Green colours and it priced at KRW2.39 million (approximately $1,965) in Korea. The green and blue models have two additional choices for the color of the hinge: silver and gold. Samsung declined to comment.
In the United States of America, the Galaxy Fold might become available on September 27, as per the latest leak from renowned Evan Blass.
