Panasonic launched two new compact cameras on the 13th day of February 2018. The first one (Panasonic Lumix ZS200) is a point-and-shoot camera of the 1inch sensor variety, while the second (Panasonic Lumix GX9) is a Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. In this post, you will get to see the features of the Panasonic Lumix ZS200 as well as its price and availability in the market.
Panasonic Lumix ZS200 Features
The prominent feature of the Panasonic Lumix ZS200 is its 24-360mm equivalent zoom lens with 5x hybrid image stabilization. At the back of the device, you will find a 1inch type sensor with Venus Engine processor and ISO 12,800 support that can also take 4k video.

The Panasonic Lumix ZS200 long-zooming camera reaches farther literally. It has an advanced camera that uses a large (for a compact camera) one-inch sensor. It zoom lens is expanded from 10x of its predecessor, ZS100, to 15x. Other improvements also include a higher resolution LCD and viewfinder, Bluetooth, increased battery life, and new menus and shooting modes.

The manufacturer used its 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilization system in the Panasonic Lumix ZS200, similar to the ZS100. The stabilization works in both stills and video, and in all resolutions except 4k.
Just as you can shoot 4k videos at 30 fps, the Lumix ZS200 also has 4k Photo modes. This makes it easy for users to pull high-resolution images from a 4k video, or shoot 1080p videos with effects. The Lumix ZS200 also has a sequence composition mode that recreates promotion effect in-camera, up to 40 frames. Promotion, aka action shot, combines a moving figure at different points in the motion across the same image.
On the outside of the Panasonic Lumix ZS200, the brand updated the electronic viewfinder with a 2,330k-dot-equivalent resolution and a 1.45x magnification. Just like the touch screen, the electronic viewfinder offers a 100% field of view and focus peaking for manual focus.
Besides Wi-Fi, the Panasonic Lumix ZS200 now has Bluetooth for constant pairing with your smartphone and low-level functions that do not require Wi-Fi. Such functions include remote shutter and video start/stop. The new eco mode can extend the camera’s battery life to 370 shots on a full charge.
