Oppo introduced the Reno series in April 2019 and the lineup has quickly filled the company’s rank. The company unveiled the latest members today – the Oppo Reno4 and Reno 6 Pro. Both phones come with OLED displays, Snapdragon 765G chipsets, and decent camera setups. Read on to learn more about the new devices from Oppo.
Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro Features
Just like the name signifies, the Oppo Reno4 Pro has a more sophisticated camera setup with OIS on the main 48MP shooter and a dedicated telephoto lens. The Pro version also gets a 90Hz refresh rate screen which comes in at 6.5-inch with a single punch hole cut out for the 32MP selfie camera.
The vanilla model settles for a 6.4-inch panel but comes with a dual punch-hole cutout with the same 32MP selfie cam backed by a 2MP depth helper.
At the back, the Reno4 features a 48MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide snapper and a 2MP depth helper. The Reno4 Pro has a higher ultra-wide camera – 12MP – and also comes with a 13MP telephoto module which is capable of 5x optical and 20x hybrid zoom.
Oppo is including its Live HDR video which promises better detail preservation and color accuracy, especially in low light scenarios.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno4 series is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Both phones support 5G and boots with ColorOS7.2 based on Android 10. The batteries come in at 4000mAh and support 65W fast wired charging – SuperVOOC 2.0.
The Oppo Reno4 will be available in blue, black and purple colors while the Pro will come in black, white, green and two special blue and red Reno Glow colors which feature a frosted glass design
Oppo Reno4 and Reno 4 Pro Price and Availability
The Oppo Reno4 price starts at CNY 2,999 ($422) in its 8/128GB configuration while the 8/256GB version costs CNY 3,299 ($465).
The Reno4 Pro price starts at CNY 3,799 ($535) for the 8/128GB trim while the 12/256GB variant will retail for CNY 4,299 ($606).
Sales for the Reno4 series in China are scheduled to begin on June 12, 2020. International availability is yet to be known for now.
