Oppo unveiled the Reno 3 lineup back in December 2019 in China, with the Pro version coming with a 5G chipset. Now we are in March 2020, the company has announced the non-5G Oppo Reno 3 Pro for the international markets. The phone comes with two selfie cameras housed inside a flat OLED panel.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro Features
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro is the first smartphone coming with the recently announced MediaTek Helio P95 chipset. It has octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores running at up to 2.2GHz and paired with 8GB RAM. Storage capacity is either 128GB or 256GB depending on the one you bought, and both storages can be expanded further via a microSD card slot.
The Reno 3 Pro is built around a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a full HD+ resolution and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The design at the back is similar with that of the Reno 3 Pro 5G, but this is a 4G device.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro main camera is 64MP, while the rest is the same – 13MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom, 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP monochrome depth-sensing camera.
The selfie cameras sit inside a punch-hole and the main unit is the highest resolution dedicated front camera to date – it has a 44 MP 1/2.8” sensor behind an F/2.4 lens. There is a secondary module is a 2MP depth sensor.
Oppo’s smartphones are known with their fast charging capacities, and this time, the company brought its latest technology to the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. The 4025mAh battery supports VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 which allows you up to 30W charging. The Reno 3 Pro comes with Android 10 and Color OS 7 out-of-the-box.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro Price and Release Date
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro price for the 8GB/128GB version is INR29,990 ($415/€375), and its release date is scheduled for March 6, 2020. It will arrive in three colours – Aurora Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Black.
The Reno 3 Pro price for the 8GB/256GB version is INR32,990 ($455/€412), but the release date is yet to be made known.
