Both the Oppo Reno 2 and Reno 2 Z will be available in the UK as from tomorrow. These are the latest smartphones coming from the Chinese manufacturer, and the UK phone market will have a feel from October 18.
The Oppo Reno 2 will be offered in two colours – Black and Ocean Blue, with a price tag of £449. The Oppo Reno 2 Z on the other hand will be available in Luminous Black and Sky White colour, with a price of £329. Obviously, these prices are for the unlocked, SIM free models.
The Oppor Reno 2 and Reno 2 Z were initially unveiled in China at the end of August 2019, and both phones spot four cameras on the rear, though the exact setups differ. The Reno 2 has a 48MP primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP telephoto shooter, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP monochrome for portraits.
The Reno 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage. The internal storage can be expanded further via a microSD card slot. It has a 4000mAh battery with 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support. It runs on Android 9 Pie with Color OS 6.1 on tip. The selfie camera is in a sharkfin pop-up and it is a 16MP unit, while the screen is a 6.5 inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED with Gorilla Glass 6 on top.
The Reno 2 Z on the other hand is powered by the MediaTek Helio P90 chipset, and it also packs 8GB or RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. It has the same software and battery as the Reno 2. Its screen is a 6.53 inch 1080 x 2340 AMOLED with Gorilla Glass 5. The pop-up selfie cam is also a 16MP shooter like in the Reno2, but the cameras at the rear differ slightly. The main 48MP sensor is there but loses OIS, there is an 8MP ultrawide, the same 2MP monochrome snapper, but also a 2MP depth sensor.
All lovers of Oppo phones in the UK can easily buy these phones as from tomorrow.
