After a long wait, lengthy promotional campaign, and some few leaks, the OnePlus 6T is finally here. The was announced six months after its predecessor, the OnePlus 6 hits the market. Though before, we have got some few hints of what the OnePlus 6T have over its predecessor, but let me now show you the full gist in this review. Let me take you on a ride revealing the OnePlus 6T features, full specification, price and release date in America and Europe.
OnePlus 6T Features
Most of the OnePlus 6T’s improvement can be seen in the hardware, and few can be found in the software. The new features include a smaller water drop-styled notch, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a larger battery. The software improvements include camera enhancement features and performance.
The OnePlus 6T has smaller top and bottom bezels when compared to its predecessor, and it is quite visible. Thanks in part to the new notch. Though a bit less visible, the fingerprint scanner sits in the bottom half of the OnePlus 6T’s screen, right at the spot where your thumb will naturally rest. The phone displays a fingerprint icon on the spot you need to put your finger once the phone is picked up.
The OnePlus 6T have a 6.4 inch display panel, which is only slightly larger than the 6.28 inch display of its predecessor, but visibly taller when pitted side by side. The most important fact is that the bottom bezel is even thinner now. The battery is larger also, a 3700mAh battery, and it is a 12% upgrade over the 3300mAh unit found in the OnePlus 6.
The camera of the OnePlus 6T is identical in hardware to that of the OnePlus 6, but differ in software. There are two cameras found on the back – a main 16MP f/1.7 OIS and a secondary 20MP f/1.7 that is upscaled to produce 2x telephoto shots. On the front you will find a 16MP f/2.0.
The OnePlus 6T have a Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. OnePlus have also improved things on the Oxygen OS side of things with a new Gaming mode and smart Boost.
The updates in Gaming mode will lock the screen brightness during gaming, give you more control on notifications and limit data usage of other apps. Smart Boost is said to improve app cold start speed by keeping certain app data in the RAM. For now, this only supposed to work for certain games.
The OnePlus 6T comes with Dash Charge, which is rated at up to 20W. OnePlus claims the provided charger will top up the OnePlus 6T with up to a day’s battery in just 30 minutes.
