The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 will kick off this week end in Barcelona, and there are many phones that will be unveiled during the event. Some smartphones are certain to be unveiled, while the presence of others are still mere speculations. In this post, you will get see some phones you will be expecting its announcement in Barcelona at the MWC 2018.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is set to be unveiled as the “will atend” boxes has already been checked. The Samsung Unpacked event is slated for this February 25th (tomorrow precisely). Various leaks have left little to be imagined, and the official teaser videos have confirmed some of the more key features which includes; slow-mo camera, low-light shooting and 3D emoji.
Also on the same date (February 25th), HMD will be unveiling awesome Nokia smartphones. Going by the intensity of the leaks, the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 1 will attend, and the Nokia 4 is a solid maybe. From the reports we have gotten from the Nokia 7 Plus, it will be the first Nokia phone to come with an 18:9 screen. The Nokia 7 and Nokia 1 will come running on the Android One program.
But there are many other Nokia devices that could be announced too. We have seen clues of Nokia 8 Sirocco (or perhaps Nokia 8 Pro), and Nokia 9. HMD also renewed the “Asia trademark”, which makes it possible for us to easily see half a dozen of new devices.
Sony’s event will take place on Monday, February 26. The official teaser passes little or no information, but rumour suggest that the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact will be placed on centre stage.
The LG G7 might not made its way to the MWC 2018, instead we might be seeing an LG V30 version with 256GB storage and a focus on Artificial Intelligence. The phones that are certain to attend are the K phones. The new LG K8 and K10 will bolster the company’s entry-level and mide-range lineups.
Huawei has slated its event for February 25th, but there are chances that you might not be seeing the Huawei P20/P11 trio. But we might be witnessing the unveiling of a new tablet and will certainly hear more information about Huawei Pay in Europe.
Asus will be unveiling the Zenfone 5 (or maybe three of them, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5 Max) on the 27th of February. The poster features the Qualcomm logo and proclaims an adoration for photography. Apart from that, rumour suggests it will have 18:9 screens and dual cameras all round eyes.
ZTE has basically announced the ZTE Blade V9 already, but we look forward to see more from the Snapdragon 450-powered phone with 18:9 aspect ratio display.
Standing out from the crowd, Alcatel will be unveiling three phones on February 24th (which is today), and they are the Alcatel 5, 3V and 1X. A leaked promo video have said a little about the smartphones which includes; 6 inch 18:9 display, dual cameras and more).
Phones You Should Not Expect
You should probably don’t expect to see the HTC U12, like the LG G7, they are likely waiting on Snapdragon 845 availability.
Xiaomi also will not bring Mi 7 to MWC 2018 (though the Mi 6 as there last year), but we may see its new chipset – the Surge S2.
