During the last CES 2018, some electronic manufacturers announced their own Google Assistant smart displays that will be coming later this year to compete with Amazon Echo devices; the Amazon Echo Show and echo spot. These two Amazon devices offer visual feedback rather than just audio only.
These Google Assistant smart displays have a home screen with basic information. It also has a basic User Interface (UI) with controls like power, brightness, and a mute button which you can access by swiping up from the bottom.
Lenovo, LG, and Sony (among others) are going to place these Google Assistant smart displays on sale. Just today, LG has made two Google Assistant devices available for pre-order on B&H Photo’s website.

These are just entries for two devices, as we are still expecting from other brands. One of the devices is the LG ThinQ Google Assistant Smart Speaker, which is been priced at $197, while the other is the LG ThinQ Google Assistant Smart Speaker with a touchscreen which cost $100 more and has a price of $297. The former is just a Google Assistant-powered Speaker made by LG.
While both devices are actively available to pre-order from the retailer, the listings do not show any product images or estimated shipping dates. Both devices are listed as “New item – Coming soon”. More updates on both devices will be reflected on this page once they are announced.
