LG has made a re-entry into the tablet scene with its G Pad 5 10.1 which was launched in South Korea in the early hours of today. Just as the name implies, it is a 10.1-inch tablet that runs on Android and also features a sizeable 8,2000mAh battery. The LG G Pad 5 10.1 tablet comes with two cameras, a metal back, and LTE, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

The display of the LG G Pad 5 is a 10.1-inch IPS panel with FHD+ resolution. The tablet comes with a 5MP selfie camera while the rear module is an 8MP sensor. The tablet comes in 247.2 x 150.7 x 8mm dimensions and weighs 498 grams.
The LG G Pad 5 10.1 bottom features dual speakers while the top houses the 3.5mm headphone jack. The right side of the tablet accommodates the fingerprint reader alongside the volume and power buttons.
Interestingly enough, the brand decided to go with the three-year-old Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and just 32GB internal storage. The storage is expandable via the microSD slot. On the software front, it runs on Android 9 Pie with LG’s custom UX on top. The battery in the G Pad 5 10.1 comes in at 8,200 mAh and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 price starts at KRW440,000 ($380) but there are no words on when it will be available in the international market yet.
