Just last month, we received brief information about an upcoming Huawei Y8s having a notch on its front and a dual-camera at the back. Today, the phone is officially announced and was listed on Huawei’s website in Jordan.
Huawei Y8s Features
The Huawei Y8s has a 6.5-inch LCD screen with full HD+ resolution. It has a relatively small notch on the top, where it houses two selfie cameras on both sides of the earpiece. The selfie camera comprises of a main 8MP f/2.0 shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor for background blur.
On the back, the Huawei Y8s also has two cameras – a 48MP main shooter with f/1.8 aperture, and an 8MP shooter. They are both lined vertically and have an LED flash to keep them company in a black rectangle setup.
Under the hood, the Huawei Y8s has a Kirin 710 chipset paired with a 4GB RAM. There are two memory options – 64GB and 128GB,, but with support for microSD expansion. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery, but the sad part is that it charges through a microUSB port. The operating system is outdated too – Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top, but at least it has Google Mobile Services. The price and availability are yet ti be made official as at the time this post was written.
