Just last month, Huawei announced the Huawei Y7p in Thailand, which is an entry-level smartphone with a 48MP main camera. This same phone has made its way to Europe but under a new moniker – Huawei P40 Lite E. Get more of the details as you read on.

Just as expected, the P40 Lite E comes with Huawei’s App
Gallery instead of the Google Play Store (and similar Huawei-branded
replacements for Google’s apps).
In case you haven’t come
across the details of the Y7p, let me do a recap of its specs. The Huawei P40 Lite E features a 6.39 inch
IPS LCD with 720p+ resolution. The display has an 8MP punch hole selfie camera
at the upper left corner.
At the back, you will
find a triple camera setup which is made up of a 49MP main module (f/1.8
aperture), plus an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. There

The Huawei P40 Lite E is an LTE phone and supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi b/g/n
and Bluetooth 5.0, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB. The latter
is used to charge the 4000mAh battery at 10W.
The P40 Lite E is powered by the Kirin 710F chipset and runs EMUI 9.1
out of the box. A microSD card slot is available to expand the built in 64GB of
storage up to 512GB.

The Huawei P40 Lite E is available in Poland at the moment on the company’s Polish site and it costs just PLN 700 – a temporary discount from PLN 1,168 (€163, down from €272). This is a nice price for a 4GB RAM _ 64GB storage phone. Also, buyers are entitled to a free Huawei Band 4, and shipments commences from March 12, 2020
At the time this post
was written, the P40 Lite E is only
available on the Polish site, though we are expecting it to spread out to other
countries in Europe in no distant time. It comes in two different colours –
Black and Aurora Blue.
