Google recently launched its first-ever premium convertible laptop on October 4th, 2017, at the company’s annual hardware event that took place in San Francisco. The new device is simply known as Google Pixelbook and it is accompanied by a Pixelbook Pen. The Google Pixelbook is a premium 2-in-1 notebook that gives stiff competition to Microsoft’s Surface Book. It has a similar blocky design with big keys and features a 12.3inch display, all packaged with a wonderful price tag.

Google Pixelbook Features
The Google Pixelbook is the thinnest and lightest laptop coming from the stables Google, having a width of 10.3mm and weighing just 1.1kg. The laptop is a Chromebook and runs on the latest version of Chrome OS. The Pixelbook has processor options of core i5 and core i7, storage options of up to 512GB, and decent RAM sizes to ensure you enjoy a lag-free experience while using the Google Pixelbook.
With the Pixelbook, Google has introduced a new launcher that enables users to easily identify and differentiate Chrome apps from Android apps, and this is not just a beta version. Google also announced during the launch that it is working with Snap Inc. in order to bring Snapchat to the Google Pixelbook.
One thing that makes the device to become more interesting is the inclusion of a Pixelbook Pen though it attracts an additional cost of $99. The pen is a smart responsive stylus (just like the Apple pen) which gives a natural feel when you are using it to sketch or write. The Pixelbook pen uses machine learning for handwriting recognition and has an angular awareness of 60 degrees, and 2,000 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The Google Pixelbook will also be the world’s first laptop to come with a built-in Google Assistant. It has a dedicated button for prompting the Assistant, but you can also use your Pixelbook pen to get help or take action on what is on your screen. You can achieve this by simply pressing and holding the button on your Pixelbook pen and circle on an image or text. You can conduct a search on words, find out more about an image, add an event to your calendar, and much more.
Google Pixelbook Price and Availability
The Google Pixelbook will be available in three different configurations, and the price will start from $999 in the United States of America. This means that the price will increase depending on your choice of processor, memory, and storage capacities. You should also note that the Pixelbook is sold for just $99, and both will be on sale at Google Store and major retailers, which includes Best Buy in the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Pre-orders of the Google Pixelbook have started.
