Though the Dell Latitude 7285 was released last year, I am quite sure the name does not actually ring a bell in some people’s minds. The most interesting aspect about the Latitude 7285 is that it is the world’s first 2-in-1 laptop (and computer) to support wireless charging. You will only enjoy this feature if you are ready to spend an extra $550 to get the Dell Latitude 7285’s wireless charging keyboard accessory and the charging mat that comes with the keyboard. The keyboard alone costs just $350 while the charging mat is $200. You should also have in mind that the price of the Dell Latitude 7285 already starts at $1200.
The Dell Latitude 7285 tablet itself does not charge wirelessly, you will still need to have the 2-in-1 docked to the wireless-compatible keyboard. To add to that, the manufacturer made it known that the charging pad is not designed to be used on metal surfaces.

To be more precise, if you feel like using the laptop on a metal surface, then you will need to raise the base with a non-metal stand to at least 50mm (approximately 2 inches). Also if you wish to use the wireless charging feature, you should note that it is not the most cost-effective method of charging on the Dell Latitude 7285, simply stick to the normal method.
